Fantasy Adventure | A case display of Honeycomb Hotel in Nanjing-StrongLED Lighting Systems

Nanjing, known as Jinling and Jiankang in ancient times, is the first batch of famous nationally historical and cultural cities and an important birthplace of Chinese civilization. Honeycomb Hotel in Nanjing is located on the top of the Laoshan mountain in Nanjing, specifically to the north of Pukou Yanshan Avenue and to the south of Sanhe Quarry. It is built with an investment of 3 billion, covering an area of about 81 mu (1hectare=15mu) and a construction area of about 105,000 square meters.

With the cultural exchanges comes a surging trend of thoughts, the architectural style of the ancient city of Nanjing has been inspired by various foreign cultures and designers and a new chapter is opened for it. Among them, the unique design of Honeycomb Hotel in Nanjing has attracted a lot of attention.

Drawing on the characteristic of the honeycomb-shaped Laoshan as the source of conception, the designer integrates the main body of the two "honeycomb" buildings as inlays into the natural environment by making use of the ups and downs of the rock wall surrounding the original Dangkou. The buildings and the environment blend naturally and inject life into each other, creating a bionic hotel that is in harmony with the mountain.

Two towers of Honeycomb Hotel are built on a hillside. The towers sit among the spiral mountain road, so from a distance it look like that there are two giant "beehives" hanging in mid-air. On the hive on the surface of the water at the vestibule of the hotel there is a giant metal bee lying, which create an atmosphere of science fiction and mystery for the hotel.
